Bouquet or Arrangement?
When people call us to place an order, one of our first questions is “Would you like a bouquet or arrangement in a vase?” Some people feel a bit confused after this question, that is why we want to shed some light on this and help you to make the right decision.
Some people think that it is better to order flowers in vase, because they will be in water during transportation and it will help to keep them hydrated. In our studio, we always pack bouquets in water bags, which keep them safe and hydrated for the period before you put them in your vase at home.
On the other hand, if you order bouquet you can change water and recut stems every day, which helps flowers to last longer. Speaking of arrangements, you can still change the water daily, but it can be a little tricky to recut the stems, because of the different technique used by florists to arrange flowers in the container.
Arranging flowers in a vase give designers the opportunity to create unique levels of beauty, which, all other things being equal, take more time. In contrast, making a bouquet is a relatively quick process, but it doesn’t give a florist that wide space to play with, that is why we always try to find other ways to make our bouquets interesting and create several layers of splendor.
In general, it all depends on the occasion and the person whom you want to send flowers. If you know, that your friend is a very busy person, it is better to send an arrangement. If your mother-in-law loves unique things – choose arrangement as well. Your colleague has huge collection of gorgeous vases at home– your choice is bouquet. For instance, you flew to Kitchener-Waterloo for a business trip and want to take flowers to your loving partner back home – bouquets are welcome on board!
